Code of Good Practice

This document explains what people can expect from your club or society, as well as the behaviours and procedures your members should adhere to.

It should be brief enough to ensure people will read it but have enough detail for people to be able to safely access your Club or Society. Here are some of the things it should contain…
  • What do you do?
  • Where you meet?
  • When you meet?
  • How much does it cost?
  • How do I contact you?

What is expected from your members? For example, suitable/specific clothing.
How will your members be looked after? You get this from your Risk Assessment. For example, are you doing a warm up to make sure people don't strain themselves by not being prepared, are you providing a qualified coach to run your sessions?
The document should answer any questions people are likely to have about your club or society.
