Hey there! I’m Bradley, your Union Affairs officer, and students just like you elected me to run the Union on your behalf, so I guess I should say ‘Hi new boss!’
Many of you are gearing up for what will undoubtedly be the best years of your life. And returning students, I’m sure you’ll be looking for new ways to get involved with your Union this year.
We’ve been working round the clock to perfect the Leeds experience and this year, Freshers’ is set to be the biggest and best yet! It all kicks off on September 16th with Welcome Week, packed with a range of global cafés, cultural events and even a cheeky night of karaoke.
Once you’re all settled in it’s time for the main event, Freshers’! Two weeks jam-packed with activities and experiences for you to enjoy. Comedians, pub quizzes, Freshers’ fairs showing off over 280 clubs and societies, not to mention headlining acts such as The 1975 right here in your Union!
You think that’s all? Think again! After Freshers’ we’ve lined up some fantastic events throughout the year from great trips to live acts, plus it’s never too late to join a club or society. Oh, and if you’re in halls – you can run the show simply by applying to be on your Halls Exec. It’s a great way to meet new people, expand your skills and personalise your very own University experience.
We’re constantly improving our services to meet your needs. We strive for perfection, but if you’re ever unhappy with something or know how we could make your time at uni even better, let us know. You can pop upstairs to the Exec office any time (that’s practically where I live) and we’ll tell you how!
Things move fast around here, so to make sure you don’t miss a thing. Follow Leeds University Union on Facebook and Twitter, and while you’re at it follow your #luuexec too - we’ve all got our own accounts (*inserts shameless plug here*).
See you at Freshers’!
