Love Leeds Charity Shop celebrated its 2nd Birthday on November 26th!
LUU's Homelessness Awareness Week was a great success with charites including Emmaus, St. George's Crypt, CRI West Yorkshire Street Outreach and student-led societies Homed, STAR and Oxfam getting involved.
Student volunteers spoke a massive 230 residents in the Hyde Park and Headlingley areas and visited over 550 households during November's Get To Know Your Neighbour campaign.
October's Get To Know Your Neighbour campaign was extremely successful. The amazing volunteers from Leeds University Union and Leeds Beckett University Union braved the wet weather to visit over 500 households in the Hyde Park and Headingley areas. Over 280 residents were spoken to about the importance of getting to know their neighbours and the campaign was extremely well received.
