Come along to Terrace at 5pm this Friday for SocSoc's Annual General Meeting, where we will put on free drinks and you will have a chance to vote for your new committee as well as stand for a position yourself. SocSoc is a society of over 200 members. Have you ever considered running a society, organising events and developing your teamwork and leadership skills, as well as grabbing a great addition to your CV? Take this opportunity to present yourself to past, present and future committee members for one of the following roles:

President - chair meetings, organise the roles of other committee members and oversee everything going on in the society Secretary - advise the president, organise documents, meeting minutes and formulate agendas, risk assessments and other necessary paperwork Social Secretary(s) - plan, advertise and run social events Fundraising secretary - from bake-sales to raffles to charity events, the fundraising secretary organises anything to raise money for a chosen charity Treasurer - oversee funds for the society and deal with cash and bank transactions to and from SocSoc's account Publicist - keep members up-to-date with SocSoc's events and run all social media Graphic Designer - design and create posters, flyers and any other designs needed for SocSoc Football captain (m) - captain the men's football team and organise teams, match fees, training and tournaments Netball captain (w) - captain the women's netball team and organise teams, match fees, training and tournaments

If you are interested in applying for any of these roles, come along to our AGM in Terrace (the downstairs area) on Friday ready to present your interest to the SocSoc members that are there. We would like to hear why you want to be on next year's SocSoc committee and what ideas you can bring to it. After the presentations, everybody present will vote for their favourite candidate if there are multiple people applying for one role. Anybody is welcome to the AGM and it is not compulsory to apply for a role, though we would highly recommend it. Free drinks will be available. Any questions, message Ed Ford or email him at ss15e2f@leeds.ac.uk.

We hope to see a lot of you there!
