This is an Action project. To sign up please join Action online on the union website. You will need a DBS check before you can attend the visits.

Re-generation is a brilliant volunteer project which aims to bring the young and old together. We realise that older people are an often underappreciated section of society and want to give you the chance to interact and enjoy their company in a relaxed and friendly setting.

Re-generation visits a local care home once a week and organise various activities with the residents, from bingo, quizzes and cake decoration to music and LUU society performances! We want to allow you to learn from each other so there will also be the opportunity to talk to the residents about what interests them and you.

Volunteers will be able to sign up each week so you can easily fit this project in around your studies.

The sign up links for each week will be posted on the LUU Action Facebook group ( which is the easiest way to keep up to date with the latest Re-generation information.

Our next visit will be one Tuesday evening in October and will run from 6.30 pm to 7.30 pm. We meet at 6.20 pm in Headingley outside Red's on the Otley Road, opposite The Skyrack pub, and from there we walk together to Headingley Hall Care Home.

If you are interested or have any questions don't hesitate to contact us by emailing, or texting Charlotte on 07725041216 or Beth on 07982806009.

Hope to see you there! :)
