Clubs and Societies

With over 300 activities to choose from you’ll be spoilt for choice. Get involved in anything from football to chess, wine tasting to skydiving, dance to ‘a cappella’. Even try your hand at Quidditch!

Pokémon Society is a place for both the novice and advanced trainers to come to battle, train, or just to meet new people. We play both the video and the card games, as well as watch the TV series.

Our aim here at PokéSoc is to give all you eager trainers a place to meet like-minded people and to battle, trade and whatever other Pokémon based activity you can think of. Throughout next year (and the years to come) there will be lots of events, including tournaments for both the video games and the card game, socials, quiz nights, art competitions and our very own Pokémon League for you to challenge!

As our loyal members, we will keep you up to date with all our plans, and if you have any additions or improvements feel free to email How it works: you sign up, and we'll notify you whenever a tournament/game night/film night or whatever you want is coming up. Alternatively, you can join our Facebook page at where we'll also let you know what's happening!

We hope to see you all in September, this year at the International Freshers Fair on the 20th and the main Freshers Fair on the 25th near the University union. We can't wait to show you everything we've got in store!

Should you be running a social, check out the guidelines for events you run.

We meet every Monday from 6 till 8. We often have events scheduled for the day or people can just relax and chat to like-minded people or even battle or trade with each other. Join our facebook group to find out more as we update our calendar. Find us in Baines Wing 1.06!
