Welcome to BioSoc!

BioSoc represents all students that are interested in Biology related subjects, ranging from Genetics to Ecology. Most of our members study a subject within the Faculty of Biological Sciences.
Our committee works together to organise a range of socials, events, sports and collaborations throughout the year, allowing members to meet new people and spark new friendships with others from our faculty. Membership not only gurantees you a fab time, but also a range of fantastic discounts - see the 'our sponsors' section for details!
There are a handful of societies representing biological students, however BioSoc is one of the oldest, friendliest, and most active of these - continually producing great years of fantastic social and educational events for its members. We guarantee that joining our society will enhance your experience whilst studying at Leeds!

Sport for 2017/18

We currently have BioSoc netball and football teams, playing regular matches against other departmental societies. 2016-17 was a great year for BioSoc sports, with successes for both teams and plenty of fun had by our players along the way! This year, along with our netball and football teams we are also hoping to start a mixed RUSH hockey team! You don’t have to be a pro to join our teams, just have a laugh and bring your team spirit! Look out for details on how to get involved with BioSoc sports during Fresher's week and on our social media pages.
