Chemistry Society 2018/2019

Welcome to ChemSoc!

Coming to university is very exciting but it can be difficult to meet people in a purely academic environment, but don't worry, once you join us you'll be in good hands - we won the Riley award for the Best Academic Society 2017/18.

We organise socials and events so you can meet course mates and like-minded people in a relaxed environment. Making friends on a course as intense as Chemistry can make your life significantly easier!

We understand it can be difficult to join all the other societies you wish to when on such a busy course, so we have our own netball and football team which you can join (keep an eye on our facebook page if you want to join the sports teams). We also hold self defence sessions throughout the year!

As well as providing a range of great social events such as Otley runs and in particular our Christmas Ball, we also hold academic events to help you get an internship, an industrial placement or even just help you decide a career path after graduation.
