Welcome to the LUU Criminal Justice Society!

Our Aims for 2018/19

The main aim of CrimSoc is to create a positive environment that fosters an interest in Criminology and Criminal Justice, whether that be for students on the BA course or from other parts of the university.

Our social secretary will be organising a plethora of social events including bargain nights out, Otley Runs, course meals and day trips. To help with this, we look forward to a entering into a discount card scheme with Revolution and No Curfew- to get more discounts on entry, drinks and more.

The Volunteers/ Careers Sec will be organising opportunities for members to get involved in community projects which will benefit our students and the people of Leeds and give lots of advice on how to build CVs and point everyone in the best direction. We are hoping to attract many more speakers including MPs, ex-offenders, Probation, Victim Support Officers and Youth Offending Teams..

CrimSoc hopes to work more closely with other societies. To that end we hope to work particularly with POLIS, SocSoc and LawSoc to hold joint events.

We also look forward to book sales, cake sales, prison & court visits, charity work and making all the Fresher's feel welcome and enjoy their time at Leeds.

Excited to meet you all!
