Opened in 1994, Holdforth Court is a male hostel situated in Leeds City Centre.  The hostel has 36 beds, and states its aim as being to “look at the immediate and future needs of single homeless men”.  Holdforth Court is run by St Anne’s Community Services, whose mission statement is to “Provide quality support, care and housing services; promote independence, opportunity and inclusion.”  The hostel has 3 kitchens and 2 training kitchens, and runs a keyworker scheme to provide any necessary support to the tenants.

The Holdforth Court HOMED project is relatively new; it only started a few years ago.  However, the project has flourished and volunteers who have been on the Holdforth Court visits have greatly enjoyed their time spent there.  The chatty group of residents really appreciate the visits, and are always keen to find out what is planned for the following week.  It will be really exciting to see this project growing from strength to strength over the coming year. Amy, Fred and Robert will be taking you on the visits this year! We are also looking for some others to help run this project alongside Jess.
