Leeds Student Radio is the one of the biggest and most successful student radio stations in the UK. With alumni including some top dogs in the radio industry, it's the perfect place to try your hand at radio and to meet some ruddy great people along the way.

Broadcasting live from the union seven days a week in term-time, we are the soundtrack to your time at Leeds.

We produce a variety of content including specialist music shows, news bulletins, drivetime entertainment so on air there's plenty to get excited about. Any member of LSR can propose their very own show, make use of our DJ decks and record their own demo. We are the perfect platform to facilitate your experimentation in multi-media!

Most importantly - no previous radio experience needed.

These are just some of the oppotunities we provide for our members:

  • Interviewing bands and artists
  • Festival press passes
  • The oppotunity to be paid and professionally trained as one of our Heads of Engineering
  • Presenting and producing experience on air
  • Live sports commentary
  • Invitation to our alumni industry days
  • Numerous socials throughout the year
  • Bringing students the news from across campus
  • DJ training and practice
  • Paid DJ sets in The Terrace

We're always looking for new members so come and see us to find out more. Our office and studios are on the first floor of the union, above the entrance- you can spot us from our sign out on the balcony.

To buy yourself a membership and to apply for your own show or any of our core shows on LSR, please go here: https://www.luu.org.uk/groups/lsr/
