Why join Mind Matters?

The Mind Matters Society are a friendly and supportive society. We have regular social events and campaigns. The Mind Matters Society is a fantastic opportunity to get involved in something amazing, with the potential to shape the future for people with mental health problems. We believe that the stigma associated with mental health problems undermines recovery and serves as an affront to our community's core values of equality and fairness.

About us

The Mind Matters Society is a group of people who believe in a new approach to Mental Health. Whether it is through providing student-led support services, holding talks in local schools, hosting fundraisers for Mental Health charities or running campaigns which change people's attitudes towards Mental Health this society depends on our members to deliver on the LUU promise to make each student 'love their time at Leeds'
