Our Campaigns

GROW

The global food system is broken. GROW outlines the injustice and problems concerning this system and how we as individuals in the UK can take steps forward to tackle it.  By pressing governments and companies to reform bad policies and by adapting the way in which we eat, positive change can be brought about.

Robin Hood Tax

This campaign focuses on putting a small financial transaction tax on banks with the money going towards tackling poverty and climate change.

Birth Rights

Focuses on women who have died during pregnancy and childbirth within Ghana, the majority of which could have been easily prevented. The profile of this problem needs to be raised through awareness actions as well as pressing the UK government to keep to its aid commitments ensuring a safe experience for mother and baby.

We are linked with Leeds City Oxfam Group, the Oxfam North of England Office based in Manchester and are interested in building further links with other local student groups from across the North.
