What we’re all about
PhilSoc are committed to being a place where people interested in philosophy can get together, share ideas, debate and enjoy each others company. We want to discuss the things you’re really interested in and give you a chance to meet people who share your passion.
Check out all our social media below for upcoming events!
Or alternatively, if you find one of the committee on facebook, you're welcome to message us with any questions on there! (We're all members of the PhilSoc facebook page!)
We’re all about mixing the academic with the social, so this year we’re planning regular cheese and wine evenings with your very own professors, panel debates with the stars of the philosophy world ft. the debate society, regular mad nights out, and what society would be complete without the odd Otley Run?!
Our boy’s 11-a-side football team will be training on Wednesday afternoons, split between Weetwood and Boddington, and our girl’s 7-a-side netball team are training Friday midday at The Edge. Hit us up if you fancy joining one of the teams!
There are facebook pages seperate to the PhilSoc general one where we post regularly with details of the training times and matches, so please join these if you are interested in playing sport with PhilSoc! If you can't find the pages, please message Maddie Tarrant or Alex White.
