Wakeboarding is currently the fastest growing watersport in the world. It is thought of as a combination of snowboarding and waterskiing, but after a few minutes on the water you'll realise that it's so much more than that. Kitesurfing bares many similarities to wakeboarding, and will be featuring in the 2016 Olympics. Leeds Wake & Kite is able to offer both of these sports to all ability levels in a relaxed and enjoyable atmosphere.

A background in boardsports such as surfing, snowboarding and/or skateboarding does help, but is by no means necessary - everyone is welcome, from complete beginners to advanced riders; everyone is guaranteed to get on the water and receive tuition tailored to their specific needs.

If you've never tried anything like this before it's a great chance to give it a go, and thanks to our student discounts it's way cheaper than you'll find anywhere else!

We'll be running weekly afternoon trips (normally Wednesdays and/or Fridays) to Sheffield cable waterski, which is about 45-60 minutes away by car at Rother Valley Park. In addition to these weekly trips we will be holding our Wakeboarding GIAG session in order to offer you the best start in Wakeboarding, at the most affordable price. The GIAG trip introduces beginners to the sport, offering tuition from qualified instructors.

This Semester's GIAG session will be run on Wednesday 7th October between 11am and 7pm (with a social to continue afterwards) and at a cost of just £10!!

In addition to our Wakeboarding trips, we will be running Kitesurfing sessions, including Beginner Kite Introductions, and trips to SKA (Student Kitesurfing Association) events.

Keep an eye on our facebook page to take part in our Kitesurfing GIAG session, which will cost just £5! The trip will be land based, but will offer an introduction to controlling the kites and if you are good you can test yourself on a landboard!
