We welcome all abilities, so whether the terms "googly" and "silly-point" mean nothing to you, or if you are a seasoned pro, we have the club for you.

Through fun and constructive training sessions and regular socials we provide a welcoming, encouraging cricket environment for all abilities. By joining our club you become part of a cricketing family, where you’ll make fabulous friends and your best uni memories whilst learning new skills along the way!

What we're up to...

Attending any of our socials is one of the best ways of getting to know the team. We pride ourselves on giving our members the best university experience possible with our variety of regular social events. From pub crawls to trampolining and beer pong tournaments to watching cricket matches, there’s a social to suit everyone! Not to mention our regular appearance at the union’s FRUITY FRIDAY! Just remember to bring along your fancy dress…

TERMS 1 & 2:

Fridays 5-7pm at The Edge Sports Hall 1a

Tuesdays & Thursdays 6-9pm Weetwood

For more experienced players, we've teamed up with Leeds Beckett to form an MCCU team with the highest quality training. This includes one-to-one batting sessions, regular net sessions and a weekly strength and conditioning session. If you're interested, further details will be provided at our regular training sessions and on our members' facebook page

Throughout this year at Women's Cricket, we aim to encourage all members to get involved with our fundraising opportunities through events such as raffles and ColorMeRad. We encourage our members to make a positive impact on the local community. Last year (2016/17) we successfully raised over £1200 for charity.

We assist members in getting involved in creating their own fundraising events such as open-mic nights or anything you can think of! This enhances employability and lets you get to know what it is like to be part of the committee.

£35 annual membership

For your membership you will have access to qualified professional training sessions, opportunities to compete in university level cricket matches, the chance to buy university cricket kit, discounts and deals on socials and the best team mates and experience of your university career. It's a bargain that you don't want to miss! We also provide kit (pads, gloves, helmet and bats) for those that are starting out or don't have kit.
