If you're new to LUU then we wish you a warm welcome. Starting at a new organisation can be overwhelming with so many new faces and names to remember, on top of the mass of information that's being thrown in your direction. This section offers a simple guide to finding your way around and provides all you need to know about working here.
Take some time out during your your first few days to become familiar with what it's like at LUU by taking the following steps:
Just head to http://username.leeds.ac.uk and fill out the online form – our faculty is ‘Other’ and our department is ‘Students’ Union’.
You will also need to apply for a Google account as LUU uses the Google apps to share work and store documents head over to the Going Google pages for more info on how to sign up.

Induction and Probation
Every new starter at LUU completes the Standard Induction Checklist with their manager this can be found on the forms and documents page.

The most Frequently Asked Questions from our new starters
Your LUU lanyard and badge identify you as an LUU member of staff and also entitle you to a 10% discount in our shops and cafes. The badges and lanyards are available from the People team. You can call the People team on ext 203, or email email@example.com or pop in and see us on the first floor. We will need to know your preferred name, your role and your preferred pro-noun.
i-trent is our HR system at LUU, all our staff have a self service login which allows them to change their personal details like home address and contact information and it allows staff to request holidays and to check their latest payslips online. You will recieve an e-mail from a memeber of the People team with your login details.
Our front facing staff at LUU are allocated with a uniform and any staff working in our catering outlets are given suitable safe and hygienic clothing to keep themselves and our customers safe. For our office based staff LUU has a smart casual dress code, the best way we can describe it is that we dress for our diaries. If we have interviews or important meetings we dress relatively smartly but if we have a day at our desk without any meetings then we might be more casual.
