Duty Manager

stage@leeds are now recruiting for two additional Duty Managers to join their committed team. If you are interested in theatre, looking for a part-time job and committed to studying at the University Leeds between now and July 2019, then you could be just who we are looking for.

stage@leeds works with professional companies, new and developing artists, and of course our student body to provide two full seasons of exciting performances per year. We also manage a suite of rehearsal spaces. Our Duty Managers are an essential part of the stage@leeds team. They work across several buildings on campus to ensure the smooth running of the stage@leeds theatre spaces and associated rehearsal rooms and also to provide a lock up facility for the School of Music.  This is an excellent opportunity for anyone with an interest in how theatres run to get some hands on experience. You will gain a wealth of skills and experience which will enhance your future job prospects: previous Duty Managers have gone on to work for a range of arts organisations after graduating.

We need people who are strong communicators as this is a very public facing role.  You’ll need to be confident dealing with a variety of people in addition to having some cash handling experience.  You’ll be responsible for leading a team of volunteers for performance nights, so some supervisory/leadership experience is also be required. We are specifically looking for applications from people who are able to work until July 2019, meaning that applications from first year and second year students are particularly welcome.

The closing date for applications is Sunday 10th of December.

Interviews will be held during the week commencing Mon 22nd January.
