We are a leading charity with a £10m+ turnover and we exist to support our 34,000 members. We want you to tackle the big questions that affect us as a Union. We are approaching a new strategic plan and we will place Engagement with our members at the forefront of our activity, with increased emphasis on the health and wellbeing of students as well as supporting them to fulfil their civic and academic potential. Ultimately we need to help students get the best possible outcomes to love their time at Leeds University.

This role will enable the leadership and resource management to achieve our aims. You will be leading a growing team which cover areas such as Student Support, Political Engagement, Representation and Activities. You will have a significant budget of over £1m, and we expect to adjust resources to provide the further investment required to deliver on our aspirations.

We want you to provide the strategic vision, innovation and expertise we need to achieve success. It’s likely that you will have significant leadership experience, a track record of success. We are open to individuals from all sectors and backgrounds, however you need to have or be able to quickly establish an understanding of the HE environment and have the credibility to quickly establish partnerships within our academic community at Leeds. This is a dynamic role and you will need to be able to thrive in an organisation where constant change and drive for improvement is normal, and be comfortable with energy required to make this role, and your ideas, a success.

So, do you want to help us with a vital part of our work?
